中秋節收禮物

轉眼中秋節已過,天氣非常反覆,每個星期都有冷鋒到,先下一兩天大雨,然後有一兩天秋涼,最後又回到30多度的濕蒸…跟著另一冷鋒又到…今次已經是一個月內的第四個.期待著涼涼的秋天,今年好像來得特別慢似的.

中秋節當天,我們其實沒有怎麼慶祝,一早起床和老爺奶奶帶著寶寶去吃早餐.第一次讓她坐在high chair,她高興得很,不斷地拍枱大笑,又嚷著要吃我們的食物,我分了少少harsh brown給她,她吃得很滋味呢!吃飽差不多是她的小睡時段,奶奶最喜歡抱著讓她睡.

回到家中,奶奶立即請纓照顧她,趕老爺帶我們去買禮物(其實是為這個家而買的,她們打算買另一款給我作生日禮物…應否接受呢?).其實這種東西我想接觸有好一段時間,遲一點全家人都會去學,我還要去申領和考牌照.說起都興奮,我打算將來也會帶囡囡去學.老爺和老公常常取笑我,說我一提到這東西就雙眼發光,才沒有這麼誇張,我喜歡看新事物而已.店員了解我們的需要後,為我挑選了好幾款,最後選了最新產品,我們都很喜歡.

Alexis is already 7 months old. She starts to notice the surroundings more and likes to look at strangers. The cutest thing is when she feels shy, her little arms hold around me, turning her head toward me but peeking through in 2 seconds. She likes pee-a-boo so much and giggles loud. It makes me laugh too.

We let her tried to use a straw to drink on the day she turned 7 months old. Wow, she mastered it in 2 minutes and enjoyed it a lot. She loves to drink from a regular cup the most but I perfer the non-drip slippy cup for now, at least for the sake of clean up.
She has been "da da da" a lot and makes a lot other vowes that I can't recall them all. Enjoying the unknown words of communication, I will remember all these moments with my little precious.

自從成功帶囡囡去診所,隔了一星期我終於有信心帶她去街.當她一吃完早餐,我就駕車外出.第一次去了costco買wipes,路途其實頗遠,幸一路順風安全回家,她只是在回家途中累得哭起來,但一兩分鐘後便睡著了.第二次是去超市買餸,目標是在她要小睡前回家.當我們入到超市,她已經開始疲倦,我盡快地完成購物清單.但在等候付款時,囡囡已累得要命,想睡但又想看周遭的新事物,結果第一次在購物途中發小脾氣.幸好我一抱就安撫了她的情緒,可憐想睡的小傢伙,一上車就睡著了.

一連三天我們都外出,今次去了買電動牙刷的刷頭,還看了新玩具.本來打算影相問問老公意見,誰知新的iphone 3G S竟然顯示無sim card???(心想:每次換新電話,都只是我的有問題,不會又這樣"幸運"嘛?又話新的好過舊,還未夠十天就有問題…雖然是老爺奶奶送的,但全家的新iphone都無問題,為何又是我 — 黑仔王)我嘗試開關機三次,最後一次我輕輕地拍在手上,終於回復正常.但囡囡這時已經開始不耐煩,收銀處還是回去買玩具,都是先回家.

第四天老公留在家中上班,又是晨早會議,可憐;但我們可以一家人吃午餐.爸爸趁午飯時間,帶寶貝和我去買玩具,新的鼓和peek a block,兩樣她都很喜歡(媽媽想買block給她很久,嘻嘻).

我一直都很期待可以和老公帶囡囡去街街,但之前豬流感一直肆虐,加上囡囡未注射任何預防針,所以一直以來我們都乖乖留在家中.除了幾次的例行檢查和防疫注射,一次到車行取回要檢查的車,和現在每周一次到奶奶家吃晚飯.
自周三第一次女子三人行之後,今天是第一次正式的家庭日.老公和我帶著囡囡去shopping,很開心啊!剛下車放好囡囡在嬰兒車上,車門還未關上,就已經有另一對推著嬰兒車的夫婦走過,他們回過頭來望囡囡,對我們說"cool hat".哈哈.她總是惹來注目,即使當天每隔兩秒就會見到一個嬰孩.我們帶她看了好幾間鞋店,但她總是不太滿意,一直到Nike她才找到合心意的兩對小鞋子,第一對是涼鞋(和媽媽一樣很愛涼鞋,呵呵),第二對是小波鞋
時間過得很快,我們用了一個半小時為她添了兩對鞋子,買完已經是午飯時間.於是我們決定一起去吃午餐(其實真大膽,已經差不多是她要吃的時間),這是一天內另一個第一次–一家人在外面用膳.吃到中段,因為見到爸爸媽媽吃得很高興,她也想分甘同味,於是開始有點不耐煩,要我抱著她來吃午餐.我們最後以高速吃完午餐,然後立即回家給她填飽肚子.回家後她很累,午睡了很久很久,我想是太多刺激,太多人和東西看了,所以即是她坐著逛街,還是累很要命.總括而言,第一次的家庭日是頗成功的,老公也驚訝她有這般好的耐性.
預告:即將會有第一次媽媽自己帶囡囡去診所打針,第一次去超市,和第一次和囡囡兩人行去shopping.(好期待,希望會平安無事).

第一次去街街

今天第一次真正帶囡囡去街街.奶奶,我和小公主第一次的girls date,節目當然是shopping啦.其實我們本來只是想在平日的非繁忙時間,帶囡囡外出逛逛,見一見外面的世界,怕周末太多人,太吵鬧會嚇怕她.加上豬流感仍然肆虐,平日外出只有小貓三四隻,安全得多.

第一間店舖當然是Carter's,她大部分的衣服都是這個牌子.雖然polo的很型(媽媽很喜歡,所以都買了些少),但就舒適而然,carter's的款式較多又女孩子一點,所以每次進入都出血.店舖經理見到囡囡,主動走過來閒談,不斷讚她可愛又乖女.每次囡囡聽到讚美的字眼,她就笑笑,全程都很留心的望著經理和她傾談,令女經理開心到不得了.
難得囡囡坐完車都沒有訓著,當然讓她自己選喜歡的衣服.初初奶奶以為我只是鬧著玩,每件衫裙都拿給她看,問她喜不喜歡.但當她親眼看到她對某些衣服不屑一看,另一些則笑著伸手去拿,她知道囡囡真的在告訴我她的喜好.這都是我的錯,每天早上我都會帶她到衣帽間,讓她自己選衣服,見到喜歡的她會伸手拉起,直至我取下衣架為止.若我選了另一件,她會木無表情地望一望,然後努力拉著喜歡的那件.更衣後,我會讓她照照鏡,當她見到自己穿上可愛衣服後,她會笑得很開心.最後,奶奶買了所有她笑著同意的新衣;鞋子看了10對只喜歡一對,和媽媽一樣有買鞋困難症.
下一站是我最愛逛的coach,奶奶覺得我應該要買多幾個crossbody的款色,有不同的顏色和大小襯衣服.奶奶說會送給我.努力游說我選個喜歡的,其實我都看中了幾個手袋,但她破費買了這麼多衣服給alexis已令我很不好意思,怎可以再讓她花錢,所以我堅拒了她的好意,說看不到喜歡的(下次和老公去才買).我給囡囡看了廿個手袋,她只喜歡兩個,當然她很有眼光,看上眼的都是靚靚羊皮手袋,奶奶差點就拿著其中一個走到收銀處買來給我,但我說不太喜歡她才作罷.
這裏的售貨員也很喜歡alexis,一個告訴另一個囡囡在店舖,最後同時有4-5人一同圍著她,.大家都讚她趣緻又乖巧,她則忙著看看是誰在和她說話.難得她一點也不怕陌生人,又很有耐性,全程都很留心地望著和她說話的人,沒有半點不耐煩.我和奶奶也很高興第一次的外出很成功.
最後一站是Eddie Bauer,它的優閒便服頗舒適的.上次買了很多東西,積分換的現金券已送到手上.於是進內逛逛,希望用了它.最後奶奶和我也找到一些心頭好,當然她又搶著付款,今次我也不再堅持,讓她付款就是了.囡囡在進入這店時已經睡著了,其實這已經過了她平日小休的半個小時,她一定累得很了.

Christmas in July

I still don't understand what is Christmas in July, all I know is they started
to display some Christmas stuff in July. Normally, we won't started Christmas
shopping until October as the earliest. But we started quite early for Alexis
this year since one of the presents is quite high demand. 

Eric and I saw these American Girl Dolls last year while I was pregnant
with little princess. If we could ensure she is a girl, we would have bought
some already. Anyway, we decided if the baby is a girl, it will be her
collection on top of whatever she likes. These dolls honestly is quite expensive
(actually very expensive in my opinion) but very well made. They pay so much
attention to details and come with all kinds of accessories that you can think
of and more. We got her the doll of the year 2009 and some accessories to start
the collection (since it is the year she was born) which does not count as a
christmas gift. Then we got her the Bitty Twins special set as one of the
Christmas presents. I had a hard time choosing the color of the hair, I like the
blonde one but also the brunette. We ended up choosing the bernette one and may
be I will buy the blonde one for myself in the future, haha. Until she is old
enough, I guess 4 is the right age, we will let her choose one of the
look-like-me dolls. (I kind of want one too…already being teased by Eric so
many times).

Growing. Learning. Amazing.

Alexis is already  5 months old and talking so much more. She is so pround of all the little things she learned and capable of doing. She loves to talk and sing to the little frog in the jumper and spin it as fast as she can. After she did something, she will look me into the eyes and tell me what she had done. Jumping and bouncing are her favorite activities, of course eating the toys at the same time are some talents. I don't remember when did she started to eat her hand or finger(s) and talk A LOT at the same time. Sometimes she does that in sleep – AMAZING. 

Little princess still learning how to sit alone and crawl. The cute butt is getting higher and higher lately and the body is rising a little bit more also. If you leave her for a few seconds, sometimes longer, she can support her upper body with the hands placed in front of her legs to sit alone. These few days she progressed to sit without the hands support for a little while. Mommy has been holding her hands while she is sitting to help her developing the balance.

Turning her little body 180 degree as she stand was a new discovery yesterday. Today, she mastered the Rasberry Skill and used it while I was feeding her the rice cereal and squash. Oh gosh, both of us are wearing the food but she is definitly proud of it. Love that she trys to walk in that jumper, talks to me then smiles and laughs out loud. She grows so fast that I have to adjust the height on the jumper for the second time, that means she at least 2 inches taller. I let her try to drink from the cup again with milk and apple juice today. This silly baby surely like the juice a lot and want to hold the cup on her own.

好充實的一天

今天一早起床,囡囡睡醒見到我就笑不停,玩了差不多半小時才想吃"早餐".她吃飽飽後,我就開始新的計劃,每天要最少找半小時清潔家居,結果昨天一做就是兩個小時.早上在BB房吸塵換床舖,然後開始洗第一機衫,一共洗了三機,點解有咁多衫???做完家務,Alexis已經自己玩到悶,嚷著要媽媽陪她玩,於是要停低陪她玩,不久後又是開餐時間,她吃完午餐就午睡去了.
難得她今天心情好像特別好,有機會午睡長時間一點.老公昨晚說想吃燕麥曲奇(我想焗好幾日了,但沒時間…),於是她一開始午睡,我就趕緊焗曲奇去.不知為何,今天由預備到焗好連清潔都只是用了45分鐘,然後我還有時間褶衫和放回衣帽間,簡直難以置信.當我做好所有要做和幸好有時間做的家務後,已經是4時半,老公差不多下班回家,於是我大膽地開始準備晚餐(祈求囡囡會睡多一會),在我差不多完成切材料後,她開始發出聲音,這是要醒的先兆.幸好,在這個時候老公己回到家中,他當然自動請纓去照顧女兒,我就有時間可以完成晚餐.在他回家的廿分鐘後,我們便可以吃了.這是非常有效率的一天.

今晚吃完晚飯就和囡囡玩,她眼仔碌碌望住我,不斷地學講說話.她連續地嘰嘰咕咕了十多分鐘,像和我談天似的,其中一次老公聽到她像在說mommy,我第一次聽不到,但不到十秒她又重複地發著類似mommy的聲音,聽到我好感動(雖然不知道是否真的在叫我),眼淚差點流下來.她一邊說話一邊對著我甜甜的笑,還有幾次笑到哈哈聲,真的很開心啊!

我想直到目前為止,給我最大滿足感的工作是全職媽媽.

不經不覺囡囡已經十一個星期大,近來她不斷學習發音,人仔細細好多野講,又表情多多,夜奶亦近乎戒掉,真係好開心.第三個所謂的"猛長期"將至,希望我可以捱到啦.
母親節她叫左爸爸買卡俾我,又叫左嫲嫲買禮物俾我,仲食食下奶停左望住我,笑得好甜好甜,冧晒.見到她健康成長,最鐘意見到我(見到我就笑得好甜,又不斷同我講野),又聽得明我同佢講野,又開始識得玩玩具,好滿足呀.我最好的母親節禮物,就是這個小寶貝.
